Creality Ender 3 V3 build volume and fit check
The Ender 3 V3 has a 220 × 220 × 250 mm build volume. It is a bed-slinger, so the plate moves in Y and the frame is open. The V3, KE, Neo, Plus and Mega are different machines with different volumes; this page is specifically for the 220 × 220 × 250 mm V3.

Model-specific limits
- Do not use this page for an Ender 3 KE, Neo, Plus or Mega without confirming its own build volume; those variants are not identical.
- The open frame and moving bed make large ABS parts prone to warp and layer separation. PLA and PETG are the safer starting point.
- A 220 mm plate leaves little margin for a skirt or brim. Add clearance when the model touches the edge.
What fits
Brackets, spacers, jigs and replacement parts for household repairs are a good fit within 220 × 220 mm.
The 250 mm Z height supports tall prototypes; check stability and consider splitting very tall, narrow parts.
The Ender platform is often used for its own upgrades. Check each printed mod against the 220 × 220 × 250 mm envelope.
Orientation tips
- Rotate long parts to use the 250 mm Z axis only when the print can tolerate the new orientation and supports.
- Use a brim for tall PLA parts and add its width to the XY clearance.
- If the model is only slightly over 220 mm in X or Y, a 90-degree rotation may solve the footprint before scaling.
