Transform and place mesh (local)

Scale, rotate, translate, center and place a mesh on the bed locally. The Worker parses STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB, or self-contained glTF, applies the numeric transform, and writes a binary STL without uploading the model.

Drop a mesh to transform

STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB, or a self-contained glTF. Scale, rotate, translate, center and place on the bed; output is binary STL.

Choose a file

Max file size: 500 MB · No upload

No upload · File.slice() / ArrayBuffer → Worker → transformed STL.

How it works

  1. 1

Drop a mesh file in any supported format.

  2. 2

Set scale, X/Y/Z rotation, translation, and optionally center X/Y or place on the bed.

  3. 3

Apply the transform in the Worker and inspect the before/after bounds.

  4. 4

Download the transformed binary STL. No upload is performed.

What the numbers mean

Transform order

The exact order is scale → rotate X → rotate Y → rotate Z → translate → center X/Y → place on bed. Rotations occur around the source origin before translation.

Units

Source coordinates are preserved as numeric values; this tool does not convert units. A scale of 2 doubles every coordinate. The output is binary STL in the same numeric unit.

Printing notes

  • Use scale to convert units when needed, then place on bed to set Z minimum to zero.
  • Center X/Y is applied after translation and before placing on the bed.
  • Verify the after-bounds against your printer bed before slicing.
