Privacy policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This policy describes the data involved when you use IsItPrintable. The short version: model files are processed on your device and are never uploaded by the product.

Files are processed on your device

When you choose a model, the browser reads it with File.slice() and the product parses it inside a Web Worker. Geometry, conversions, repairs, checks, and generated downloads stay in the browser. The product does not send your model to a server.

Because the file never leaves the browser, we cannot access it, recover it, or inspect it. Closing the tab discards the working copy unless you explicitly keep a browser cache.

Local browser storage

The STL viewer can store a decimated preview, full welded geometry, or independently indexed detail chunks in the origin-private file system (OPFS). Cache keys are derived from sampled file bytes, file size, and modification time.

These caches remain on your device, are scoped to this site's origin, and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser. They are not readable by other websites.

No accounts, cookies, or analytics

The product does not provide accounts and does not set tracking cookies. It does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or session-recording scripts.

Tool settings may be kept only for the current page or in local browser storage; they are not sent to us.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by a static hosting provider. Like most hosting services, it may process request metadata such as the requested URL, IP address, user agent, and timestamp to deliver pages and protect the service.

Those requests do not contain your model files, because the product never uploads them. Hosting metadata is handled under the provider's own policies and is not used by IsItPrintable to build user profiles.

Your choices

You can clear site data at any time to remove viewer caches and any locally stored settings. Private browsing usually prevents caches from persisting after the window closes.

Because the product has no server-side file storage or user accounts, there is no stored model to delete from a server.

Changes to this policy

If the product's data handling changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be described here before they take effect.
